MUMBAI: A Dombivli resident, Karan Bagul, who was at loggerheads with a developer, has been missing since two months after he went to meet the latter.

The builder was developing Bagul's property. Cops registered a missing person's complaint but Bagul's family wants the developer be booked for kidnapping. His family has filed a habeas corpus plea before the HC and wants the probe to be handed over to the Mumbai crime branch. The case is likely to come up before the HC on Monday. Bagul, an aide of gangster Santosh Shetty, was acquitted in an attempt to murder case in 2013. His cousin, D Jagtap, has been accused of killing advocate Shahid Azmi.
