Cold wave in Mumbai, temperatures drop

MUMBAI: Bringing further chill to Mumbai, minimum temperatures dropped to 12 degrees celsius in Santacruz on Monday morning as compared to 16.8 degrees celsius recorded on Sunday.

The forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 13 degrees celsius and 28 degree celsius respectively.

The minimum temperatures recorded in Santacruz and Colaba were both below normal. On Monday the minimum recorded in Santacruz was 12 degree celsius, which was 6.7 degrees celsius below normal, and in Colaba it was 16 degrees celsius, which was 4.9 degrees below normal.

This year the minimum temperatures started to fall post November 20.
