Abhishek Bachchan attends road safety event in Mumbai

Abhishek Bachchan turned out quite on time for a road safety event at 8 am on a Sunday morning. The actor feels very deeply about road safety and also for the safety of bike riders. Amongst the concerns he stated, the most crucial one was that both bikers and pillions must wear helmets. It is often noticed that in case of any accident, the pillion is often more severely hurt because of not wearing a helmet.

Speaking to us, Abhishek said, "I believe very strongly in this. We live in a city full of bikes and not only do bikers ride without a helmet but people sitting in the pillion too ride without a helmet. I spoke to Maria Sir and I told him that the law shouldn't be just for people riding the bike but also for pillions. Their life is extremely important."

The event went off very well and Abhishek exclaimed that he was humbled being a part of it. "It's a cause worth talking about and it has been a honor to come here and flag off the rally because road safety must be prime most for everyone."
