According to the Manickpur police, the accused Sarfaraz Alam (23) worked as a vehicle mechanic with Shahzada Khan (32). He stayed at Khan's house in Panchvati Naka. Khan had reportedly not paid Alam his salary since the past few months. He had promised to pay his the Rs 7,000 salary but was delaying it. On Monday, Alam allegedly picked up Khan's daughter while she was playing. At night, Alam called up Khan and said he had kidnapped his daughter and threatened to harm her if his salary was not paid. Cops traced Alam to Mumbra and arrested him. The child was rescued.
