Rail fracture disrupts rail traffic in Mumbai

MUMBAI: A rail fracture reported between Diva-Mumbra stations on the up slow line around 10:30am on Wednesday disrupted peak hour rail traffic towards Mumbai.

A Kalyan local was held up on the stretch while other slow trains behind the stranded train were diverted on up fast line towards Thane.

The line was finally cleared at 11:05 am and trains running with speed restrictions on this line. Services on the main line are running late by 10-15 minutes because of the incident.
