MUMBAI: A 69-year-old stock broker committed suicide by shooting himself to death at his residence in Gamdevi area late on Wednesday evening. The suicide came to light when his 33-year-old son returned home and found the door locked from inside.

The suicide came to light when his 33-year-old son, Jemi, returned from office at 9 pm and found the house locked from inside. Jemi with he help of domestic help broke open window and was shocked to see his father lying with a pistol.

Police said that Talyarkhan was not successful in the stock business and was depressed for the last two to three years. "On Wednesday he committed suicide at his residence by shooting himself in the chest using his licensed revolver."

He had some financial disputes with the chief promoter of a big firm that is facing a criminal case of cheating of thousands of crores rupees. Talyar Khan had approached the high court to quash a case. The case is going on for the last two and half years and hence the deceased was tensed.

His body was sent to JJ hospital for post mortem.

No suspicion against the relatives or complaint by the relatives has come to front yet, said police.
