Pande left behind a suicide note where she blamed her boyfriend Omar Pathan for her drastic step said the police. The Versova police have registered a case of abetment of suicide against Pathan and inquiring about him.
"We are verifying all the collected details and according will take require action in the incident" said Satya Narayan Chaudhary, deputy commissioner of police, zone-9.
Pande lived alone in 12th floor flat of Shubham Karoti building at New Mahada colony in Versova. She hanged herself couple of days ago but no one noticed the incident. On Monday, the neighbour rang her doorbell after they smelt foul stench emanating from her house. No one responded the bell after which the informed the police control room.
The Versova police opened the door and found Pande hanging with the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Her body was badly decomposed and the police sent it to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The police search the house and recovered the one page suicide note in the bedroom.

"In the note, she stated that Pathan used to harass her and he was ill-treating her who prompted her to commit suicide" said a senior officer. Pandey left the modelling profession in 2009 and she was working in Mirza production house said the police.
The police contacted her relative, who live in vicinity, with the help of her phone and informed them about the incident. The police are examining her mobile contents. They are also checking her call records and SMS messages. The police said that they will also inquire her friend and office staff about the incident.
The police said that Pande's brother was arrested in a cheating case by the Gujarat police and at present he is in a judicial custody.
Last week, another woman related to glamour industry committed suicide by jumping off from the 16th floor flat of her residential building at Lokhandwala, Andheri (West).
The deceased, Ekta Babbar, 35, would supply artist to producers and would live with her mother at Green Acres building. She was depressed since death of her father six months ago said the police.
