The chargesheet was filed after an FIR was registered in 2008. Those named in the chargesheet include Prem Masih, trustee of Indian Church Trustees, Calcutta, and treasurer of the Church of North India, Vinod Malaviya, trustee of Indian Church Trustees, Calcutta, and ex-bishop of Gujarat and others.
The complainant, Cyril Dara, had accused various trustees of the Indian Church Trustees, Calcutta, as well as the Bombay Diocesan Trust Association of conspiring and selling the Afghan Church land in Mumbai in 2006. Dara said the court will hear the matter on November 10. The first chargesheet in the case against was filed in April. That case will come up for hearing on July 28.
