MUMBAI: Water logging in over 66 spots in Mumbai due to heavy rainfall within few hours led to water logging in several parts of the city as the drains couldn't discharge so much of water in such a short time.

Low lying areas like Andheri, Milan subway, Garodia nagar in Ghatkopar, Hindmata and Sion circle were flooded.

A wall collapse has been reported in Bail Bazaar in Kurla due to heavy rains and winds, the collapse injured three people who are recuperating in hospital.

The IMD, meanwhile, has predicted more rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Transport networks like railways, bus and taxi-autos were thrown out of gear due to rains and water logging.

Trains were running late by 30-40 minutes and the harbour line was shut for over 20 minutes.

Traffic jams were reported along the Western Expressway, JJ flyover and LBS road.
