Ravindra Shisve, zonal deputy police commissioner, said, "We recorded Raman's statement at BCCI office. His statement is in affirmative about the verbal complaint. We wanted to record his statement since there was a mention of him in the complaint application. Now we are waiting for the complainant to come and give a detailed statement." Those who have given statements so far include BCCI's Ankit Baldi.
Zinta, a co-owner of IPL team Kings XI Pubjab, alleged of abuse, threat etc to the police against former boyfriend and team co-owner, Wadia.
"The incident has been mentioned at three places in the complaint. First, in front of the team staff, secondly she stated that when she approached towards her seat Wadia followed her and thirdly at the ground. We are verifying the details," added Shisve. He refused to name the witness citing security reason. He added that the police have sought the details about the team staff. Cops have not recorded Wadia's statement yet. On the day of the alleged incident there were 37,000 people, including police, in the Wankhede stadium, said Shisve.
He said that Kings XI Pubjab has not provided the details about the tickets and seats and cops were waiting for it. The police are going through the 230 CCTV cameras of Wankhede and have asked the broadcasting channel to provide its 19 camera images. "We have got one camera image from the broadcasters. We are waiting for the remaining ones," he added. "We have not got anything substantial in the CCTV footages. We are still searching," said Shisve.
