MNS target school for not giving admission to Marathi students

KALYAN: MNS workers led by the local MLA Prakash Bhoir vandalise famous Birla school furniture and manhandle school administrator in Kalyan alleging that school favours only Sindhis during admission of junior KG students and not Marathi students.

Cops have recovered CCTV footage of school and studying CCTV footage before making arrests.

Bhoir alongwith 20 to 30 workers including some parents on Wednesday at 11.30 am entered in to school premises to make enquiry about admission given to students.

When school denied giving details as computer password was protected and principal who was authority to open list of admission students was not available in school, then the eraked MNS workers vandlised office and manhandled administrator Vijay Tekawade.

O R Chitlangia, Chairman of Birla School management said, "We give admission as per lottery system in which we gives 70 percentage preference to Kalyan residents, 20 percentage to Ulhasnagar and 10 percentage to others".

Abhay Shelar, additional commissioner of police, Kalyan region said, " In this matter we are registering case against those involved in case and as per that further action will be taken against them".
