Road restrictions announced by traffic cops for Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road

MUMBAI: With the inauguration of the Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road on Thursday morning, the traffic police announced a number of road restrictions. The maximum speed limit for all vehicles will be 30kmph on all bridges of SCLR. There shall be no stopping or parking of vehicles on the entire stretch of SCLR. Signs have been put up to guide motorists and additional traffic police personnel are also being deployed.

Rules

Entry will be prohibited for pedestrians, heavy vehicles (except BEST, ST or any bus carrying passengers), all types of bicycles, tricycles and auto tricycles used by the disabled, all types of animal carts and hand-pulled cards on SCLR from Chedda nagar, Mother Dairy at Nehru Nagar in Kurla East, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus as well as from sleep roads connecting SCLR to Amar Mahal Junction and Shanta Jog Marg.

Parking will be prohibited for all vehicles on RT Kadam Marg (Raj Marg); Govalkar Guruji Marg (adjoining road of Tansa Pipeline) till junction of Sarodaya Buddha Vihar at Tilak Nagar; Vidyavihar (E) railway station from Sinduwadi junction to the end of the road.

There will be 'no parking and one-way' for all vehicles from the end of RT Kadam Marg to SCLR Pillar No. P52RHS and from P53RHS to the new building of LTT. There shall be 'No parking and one-way' for all vehicles in the premises of LTT and the area between Ameya and Pratiksha societies at Tilak Nagar.

U-turn won't be permitted for all vehicles driving on the south-bound lane of Eastern Express Highway at Amar Mahal Junction towards SCLR sleep road north-bound.

There will be 'no parking and one-way' for all vehicles on sleep road from SCLR to Amar Mahal junction and vice versa. There will be 'no parking and one-way' for all vehicles on the service road from Amar Mahal Junction to Chedda Nagar Junction adjoining Pestom Sagar at Chembur on the north-bound stretch of Eastern Express Highway.

Parking will be prohibited for all vehicles on the service road from Chedda Nagar Junction to Amar Mahal Junction at Chembur on the south-bound stretch of Eastern Express Highway. parking shall also be prohibited on Mother Dairy road at Nehru Nagar in Kurla East upto the junction of SG Barve Marg.

There shall be one-way for all vehicles on the service road from Chedda Nagar Junction up to the road connecting to Chedda Nagar Colony Road or the Chedda Nagar subway on the south-bound stretch of Eastern Express Highway.

There will be 'no parking and one-way' for all vehicles from Swami Vivekanand High School at Nehru Nagar in Kurla (E) up to the junction of SG Barve Marg.

No right-turn will be permitted for all vehicles on the junction of SG Barve Marg and Shivsrushti Road Junction at Nehru Nagar in Kurla East — vehicles moving from Kurla railway station towards Nehru Nagar junction.

No left turn will be permitted for all vehicles on the junction of SG Barve Marg and Shivsrushti Road junction at Nehru Nagar in Kurla East — vehicles moving from Nehru Nagar junction towards Kurla railway station.
