Bus driver beaten up over 'change row'

KALYAN: The Mahatma Phule police in Kalyan have registered a case against a woman commuter and three of her relatives for allegedly attacking a state transport bus conductor after a row over change.

The conductor asked the woman for change leading to a dispute.

Later, the woman called her relatives who blocked the bus with their motorcycle and attacked the bus conductor.

The accused Reshma Maste, resident of Kalyan was travelling from Panvel to Kalyan and got into a dispute with conductor Kailash Rathid over change for rs 1000 which she was using to buy a Rs 60 ticket.

Later Rathod approached to the Kalyan police who registered case under section 353 (Assault on public servant from discharge of his duty), 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from duty), 341(Punishment for wrongful restraint) and 34 (Common intention) of Indian Penal code against Maste and three unknown relatives.

Police said they are probing the matter and will arrest all the accused in the case.
