KEM hospital services to be affected

MUMBAI: Various operation theatres and laboratories at KEM hospital will be shut from Saturday, December 21 to Monday, December 23, said a BMC press release.

The civic body is undertaking the work of installation of a chiller unit in the central air-conditioning plant of the KEM hospital, Parel. The work is scheduled to be undertaken from December 21 to 23. "Hence air-conditioning facility will not be available in most of the operation theatres, intensive care units and laboratories of KEM hospital during this period," said the release.

During the shutdown period, emergency patients/cases will be transferred to Nair, Sion or J J hospital. The civic administration has requested patients and their relatives to co-operate.
