MUMBAI: The traffic police have made arrangements for Moharram on Thursday to avoid inconvenience to motorists. Processions are expected to start around 6 pm from Honda Corner, Nesbit junction and proceed along JJ Road, JJ junction, Ibrahim Rahimtullah Marg, Pakmodia Street and conclude at Jenbia Hall.
DIVERSIONS:
* Bhoiwada traffic division
1) The south-bound stretch of Lalbaug flyover will be closed for traffic. South-bound traffic of B.A Road will be diverted below Lalbaug flyover.
* Byculla traffic division
1) South-bound traffic on Dr. BA Road parallel to Lalbaug flyover bridge will be diverted at the junction of Sant Savta Marg and Dadoji Kondadev Marg towards the east direction i.e. Dadoji Kondadev Marg for onwards journey to south Mumbai via Tomani junction and Barrister Nath Pai Marg.
2) West-bound traffic on Dadoji Kondadev Marg will be diverted at Tomani junction and further on to Barrister Nath Pai Marg.
3) South-bound traffic on Dr. Mascarenhas Road will be diverted at Sales Tax circle, Mazgaon, towards Balwant Singh Dudhdi Marg up to the junction of Sarkar Tower Road and further onto Seth Motisha Junction.
* Nagpada traffic division
1) No vehicles will be allowed to go towards Sofia Juber junction from Nagpada junction. Motorists can use Duncan Road and Clare Road.
2) No vehicles will be allowed from Don Taki junction to go towards JJ junction. Motorists can use Duncan Road.
3) South-bound traffic intending to go towards Nesbit junction will be diverted from Khada Parsi junction towards Clare Road and BJ Road for their onward journey.
* Kalbadevi traffic division
1) No entry for BEST buses on Kalbadevi Road. BEST buses will take a right turn at Vardhman Chowk and proceed to LT Marg via Picket Road for their onward journey to Karnak Bunder Brider and P D'Mello Road.
* Colaba Traffic division
1) North-bound vehicular traffic on JJ Flyover will remain shut from 4pm to 8pm. The vehicles will take right turn at Bhatia Baug junction and will go on to Walchand Hirachand Marg-Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk, P D'Mello Road. Similarly, vehicles coming from Hazarimal Somani Marg will take a right turn at CST junction-will go towards Bhatia Baug junction-Walchand Hirachand Marg-Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk-P D'Mello Road.
* Pydhonie traffic division
1) North-bound traffic coming at Chakala junction, to proceed towards JJ Junction via Mohamed Ali Road, will be diverted on to P D'Mello Road via Karnak Bunder Bridge at Chakala junction half an hour before commencement of the procession.
2) Vehicles coming from Kalbadevi Road-LR Road to Mandvi Junction will be diverted on Mohamed Ali Road-Chakala junction-LT Marg-Karnak Bunder Bridge-P D'Mello Road.
3) No vehicle will be allowed to go towards JJ Junction from Noor Baug junction. Motorists can use Dr. Maheshwari Road-Wadi Bunder bridge-Wadi Bunder junction-P D'Mello Road.
