The mission will be lead by Koen Overtoom, Chief operations officer of Port of Amsterdam and will encompass New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
The main goal is to establish new relationships and explore mutual business interests. The mission has been organized with Samsara Group, partner and representative of Port of Amsterdam in India since 2012. "Although the economic situation in India is changing the Indian market stays important and offers various opportunities for Port of Amsterdam as well as for our clients and partners. We look forward to bringing our relationships with Indian companies to a next level, meeting new potential partners and enhancing cargo flows between smart logistics service hubs," Overtoom said in a statement issued to the press.
Network events with Indian companies as well as ports visits will take place in New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai. The delegation will also be present at the Maritime and Logistics Awards on September 6 in Mumbai.
The delegation will also consist of companies with know how and expertise in the areas of port logistics, tax law, finance and administration.
