MUMBAI: A dead body of a 20-year-old was found in a gutter with his throat slit on the Eastern Express Highway ( EEH) near Kanjurmarg village on Monday. The Vikhroli police probing the case suspect that the victim Ajay, a Ghatkopar resident, was killed in some other locality and the body was dumped at the isolated place during the wee hours. Police have detained juveniles in the case.
T he body was found in a gutter that is in between the service road and the eastern express highway. "The place where the body was dumped is a very secluded. A driving school trainer who stopped his vehicle to relieve himself spotted the body and called the police," said Vikhroli police senior inspector Mahipat Indalkar.
Indalkar said the body bore stab injuries on head while there was a deep gash on his neck. "We did not find any belongings from the spot. We suspect that the killer might have taken possession of his belongings so that his identity will not be established," he said.
