MUMBAI: The Parksite police have registered a case against a contractor and his accomplices for allegedly assaulting residents staying in staff quarters of a company in Vikhroli on Tuesday, last week. Investigations are on and the arrest will be made after collecting evidence.
Police said the brawl occurred between two groups when the contractor tried to demolish the quarters located at LBS marg. The company space is been remodeled after it was sold but the residents refused to vacate.
The residents sustained injuries during the scuffle after which Member of Parliament Sanjay Dina Patil reached the spot to support the residents and staged a protest.
"We have registered a case against the contractor," said a senior Parksite police officer.
