Birla group donates Rs 1 crore to the CM relief fund

MUMBAI: The Aditya Birla Group on Thursday donated Rs 1 crore towards drought relief.

Group's advisor SK Sabu met chief minister Prithviraj Chavan to submit a cheque for the donated amount.

The donation was made towards the CM relief fund (drought).

The CM has thanked the group for the gesture. The CM's relief fund has received donations from various corners including trusts, corporate houses, societies and ordinary citizens. Even school students have come out to contribute towards the relief fund.

The state is facing an unprecedented drought crisis.
