Two held for duping firm of energy drinks' consignment

MUMBAI: The Borivali police on January 22 arrested two ex-employees of a firm, manufacturing energy drinks, for conning the management of a consignment worth Rs 90,000.

The accused have been identified as Inder Veersingh, 44, and Adil Shaikh, 21.

Last week, the duo posed as clients and ordered a consignment of energy drinks from the firm.

After the consignment was brought to a Borivali-based mall, the duo asked the loaders to load the consignment into a tempo they had brought along.

Under the pretext of going to fetch money for payment, the duo disappeared.

The firm's management later lodged a complaint with the Borivali police.

The accused-duo were caught from Shanti Ashram in Borivali West.
