MUMBAI: BJP leader GopinathMunde on Thursday slammed the decision to transfer Beed Collector Sunil Kendrekar. Munde alleged that the transfer was done at the behest of deputy chief minister leader AjitPawar (NCP). Munde was in Delhi when he made these allegations, according to MundeKendrekar's transfer wads done as he had stopped all illegal activities in Beed and had put the fear of law on the oil, sand and the land mafia.
"The NCP's interests have been hurt due to the transfer. This is the reason why the local NCP MLA's and leaders met Ajit Pawar who has then effected the transfer of the Beed collector," claimed Munde.
The BJP leader said that while chief minister Prithviraj Chavan enjoys a clean reputation it could be sullied if he remains party to such decisions. According to Munde, Chavan should stop coming under the pressure of the NCP or else there would be question raised on the functioning style of the CM too.
