The Borivli police has registered the case for an investigation.
The victim, Ramnath Kamat, lived at Borivli (west) along with his family and went to the bank around afternoon.
He kept the money in a bag along with other bank documents. He was waiting for an auto when two men came one the bike and pillion rider snatched his bag. The bike sped after the incident and Kamat unable to note down their bike's registration number due to shock.
The police stated that they are inquiring with the witnesses and checking the CCTV footage of nearby shops for a clue.
The police said that the passerby provided them the bike's detail along with the physical descriptions of the accused and they are inquiring about them.
