MUMBAI: The Intelligent (I) branch of Mumbai police have arrested another 38 persons suspected to be Bangladeshi migrants from Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai and Mankhurd area.
With this arrest the number of suspected Bangladeshi arrest touched to 1,200. All the 38 persons including women were remanded to judicial custody till January 5.
Police said that these migrants have crossed the border from Dhaka and have entered India while their advocates maintained that they were Bengalis and from Odissa and were caught only because they spoke Bangla.
