MUMBAI: Senior Congress minister Narayan Rane's son Nitesh is toeing Marathi agenda, at least it seems so. Rane's younger son Nitesh who heads Swabhiman Sanghatna has extended his support to the Marathi film industry.
"A Marathi film which was facing financial crisis was aided by Maharashtra Kalanidhi-a brain child of Nitesh Rane," said a release issued by Nitesh's office.
The release further stated that Rane's aim to give financial support was to ensure that Marathi film producers, directors and artistes do not face any financial crunch in the industry. "Maharashtra Kalnidhi aims to aide the upcoming talent pool that stays hidden from the limelight due to lack of funds," the release added.
This is not the first time that Rane is taking issue of Marathi community. Earlier, Nitesh had threatened to start tirade against Kanada speaking people in Maharashtra if Karnataka continues to harass Marathi's in there state.
