MUMBAI: The Bombay high court Chief Justice Mohit Shah will release a book Swaroop and Krishna-- The Contempt of Courts Act, co-authored by advocate Vibhav Krishna of Mumbai. The event will be held at the historic Central court room of the Bombay high court where the Tilak trials were held in the last century.
The proceeds of the book, said the author, has been pledged to the high court for promoting legal education.
The Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, Advocates Association of Western India and the Bombay Bar Association have invited all the judges and many eminent lawyers for the launch. The Chief Justice Mohit Shah had written the preface of the book.
The Contempt of Courts Act had been amended in recent years and the book which has endorsed by a few senior lawyers is one of the few books that is being released at the Central Court room premises of the High court. The event will take place at 5 pm on Wednesday.
