MUMBAI: The city police will be getting the ballistic analysis report of singer Asha Bhosale's pistol early next week. Bhosale's daughter, Varsha, 56, had used the same gun to kill herself on Sunday midnight.
"We are in touch with the forensic science laboratory officials and have asked them to submit the report as early as possible. They will be submitting the report early next week", said police officer.
Meawnwhile, Anand, youngest son of singer Bhosale told police that his mother's licensed pistol went missing in 1991 and the family had informed police about it. Anand further told investigators that the police had reprimanded them at that time and that he will be producing the reprimand letter to police.
Varsha, 56, had used the same Belgium-made pistol to kill herself. Her body was discovered on Monday morning. Anand, who was not present in the country when the incident took place, told police that his mother had got the licensed revolver but it went missing after sometime. He also told police that he didn't know how Varsha got this pistol and used to kill herself. He also narrated that his sister had in the past tried to kill herself twice.
