MUMBAI: The Manhattan Short Film Festival, a global screening of 10 short films, drew to a close on October 8, when the top winner was announced simultaneously in New York and Mumbai. The Romanian film - "Superman, Spiderman or Batman" directed by Tudor Giurgiu unanimously won the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Audiences across the world voted for the film. The votes were then sent to New York Headquarters, where Nicholas Mason, the founding director of the festival tallied all votes from across the world and declared the winner.

In Mumbai, Festival Directors Anil Sadarangani and Jai Bhatt inform that audiences were touched by the simple story of this film. "There were no special effects or hi-fi stunts or clever twists in this film. It was just the innocence of the little boy, the protagonist, that touched everyone's heart. The way the filmmaker cleverly captured this little actor's performance is outstanding. Effortless and real," said Sadarangani.

In second place is the film "A Curious Conjunction of Coincidences" from The Netherlands and in third place is the film "Voice Over" from Spain.
